This video kind of taught me how to draw hair properly but i haven't mastered it yet but im getting the hang of it. It taught me the basics of how to draw hair.

This video teaches you step by step how to draw eyes. After watching this video i used the techniques that he used but only with pencil and i was able to draw a good looking eye. I think that i will get better at it in time but i hope to be as good as this person one day.

Artist Research

Juan Francisco

An artist that I have been looking at is Juan Francisco Casas Ruiz. He was born in La Carolina 21st September 1976. He got a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1999 and a Master in Fine Arts in 2003 from the University of Granada.

Here are some of his artworks..

I really like the way Juan Francisco draws. He uses ball point pens to make these artworks. He also draws from photographs that he has taken. This is similar to how I draw because i draw from looking at photo's. I like how he draws and makes them look super realistic. That is something i hope to achieve one day. These artworks are also done on a large scale which would have took him awhile to finish. I hope to one day draw on a larger scale.

Kelvin Okafor

Another artist that I have been looking at is Kelvin Okafor. He is a British artist of Nigerian descent. He graduated in Fine Art in 2009. He currently lives in Tottenham, London. He draws realistic portraits of ordinary people and celebrities using pencil and charcoal.

Here are some of  his works..

I really like how Kelvin Okafor does art. I like how he can draw peoples portraits very realistically by only using pencil and charcoal. He is just like Juan Francisco but they both use a different medium from each other. These two inspire me to try get better and better at drawing do that one day, maybe i would be able to draw a realistic image as good as them. I really like how he draws celebrity's because when anyone see's his drawings, they will know he is it that he drew.

Here's a drawing that he done of Adele
I like this video because it shows steps by steps of the process that he took to draw it.

This is the drawing that he did of Beyonce
After watching this it showed me how it takes time to to get better and better at drawing. This is how good I want to be in the future.
